Greg Cavanaugh slides into the Rocket Town Radio pilot’s seat at noon for the afternoon program liftoff of rock n roll, blues n soul!

A native Californian, Cavanaugh’s radio career began with AFRTS while in the US Navy and spans more than 30 years. He’s played music for the sunny ocean side listeners of Long Beach, to Northern California cities of Santa Rosa, Chico and later Seattle, Washington.

“It’s always the best feeling to play the rocking tunes my listeners want to hear,” he says. “Plus, now we can play more of the album artists that have not been heard on the Central Coast since several local stations changed format. We’re just beginning–and invite you to join us for the daily Rocket Town Radio trip!”

The musical flight plan filed today includes the newest from The Black Keys, the blues master Doyle Bramhall, what 99 shades of “crazy” sounds like and the latest soul sensation, St. Paul and the Broken Bones.

Cavanaugh lives at an undisclosed location in Lompoc, near Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara county. The radio man’s Rocket Town Radio regular air show is from noon until 3pm, Monday through Friday.

Mid-week and looking to the weekend!

Networking problems overnight caused periodic data interruptions. Minor flight corrections took care of that in today’s flight plan! Rocket Town Radio maintains its altitude.

The shake-down cruise is progressing according to the anticipated benchmarks. Looking forward to this Saturday when I’ll drive my Chevy S-10 over to the Vandenberg Village Chevron for its car wash!

Drive your wheels over there too! The kids of Cabrillo High School’s Instrumental Music groups will soap it up and dry it off as a fund-raising benefit for their CHS Marching Band.

Tomorrow Is Earth Day!

Wrapped up today’s Rocket Town Radio show! Getting ready for tomorrow’s!

The “Almost Out Of Control Center” and our space, 99-feet underground, is more and more comfy every day.

The crew has lots of hard-boiled eggs left over from the grand kids visit and Easter egg hunt topside!

Yak with ya on Earth Day…tomorrow at noon (and daily weekdays, noon to 3pm) Pacific time.
