Our Pilot Loves Mondays!

A good night’s rest and ready for Monday’s (4/28) air show! I really do like Monday’s!

The Flight Plan’s music shows it. We will hear about a “little love token” from Duke Spirit, and Robben Ford’s version of the Dylan tune, “Most Likely You Go Your Way And I’ll Go Mine.”

Add to that new music from Eliza Gilkyson’s “Nocturne Diaries” and we’ll share “Peace In The Valley” from the Dawes band, who hail from the San Fernando Valley.

Let’s hear it for more California music! –Greg “Cavanaugh,” Team Leader/Pilot: Monday through Friday, Noon to 3pm

10am: Listen to “Trick” and wash your car!

You can do both today beginning at 10 this morning! 1) Dial into Rocket Town Radio on your favorite device, 2) then drive your vehicle to the Vandenberg Village Chevron (corner of Constellation and Burton Mesa) for a great car wash.

It’s a fund-raiser for the Cabrillo High School Marching Band…they need new uniforms and are working toward their goal! Enjoy your weekend and take Rocket Town Radio with you wherever you go.

Greg Cavanaugh slides into the Rocket Town Radio pilot’s seat at noon for the afternoon program liftoff of rock n roll, blues n soul!

A native Californian, Cavanaugh’s radio career began with AFRTS while in the US Navy and spans more than 30 years. He’s played music for the sunny ocean side listeners of Long Beach, to Northern California cities of Santa Rosa, Chico and later Seattle, Washington.

“It’s always the best feeling to play the rocking tunes my listeners want to hear,” he says. “Plus, now we can play more of the album artists that have not been heard on the Central Coast since several local stations changed format. We’re just beginning–and invite you to join us for the daily Rocket Town Radio trip!”

The musical flight plan filed today includes the newest from The Black Keys, the blues master Doyle Bramhall, what 99 shades of “crazy” sounds like and the latest soul sensation, St. Paul and the Broken Bones.

Cavanaugh lives at an undisclosed location in Lompoc, near Vandenberg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara county. The radio man’s Rocket Town Radio regular air show is from noon until 3pm, Monday through Friday.
